Reid Aims to Back-to-back Win
Ambitious Melissa Reid is hoping to capture a second successive LET title after the victory in last week's Turkish Airlines Ladies Open. In this week, the UniCredit Ladies German Open will be presented by Audi, at Golfpark Gut Häusern near Munich. Reid hope she can do well in the game.
Last week's Turkish Airlines Ladies Open winner will go into the week with renewed confidence, on a course where she finished equal third last year behind Jade Schaeffer and Paula Marti, just one shot shy of entering the playoff. Good clubs recommend: Ping G15 Complete Set.
The 23-year-old went out in 34 with birdies on the second and the 8th, and at the turn Reid was four strokes ahead of the field. There was a distinct wobble on the back nine though, with three dropped shots on the 10th, 12th and 15th, but a miraculous recovery on 17 from a virtual tarmac lie got Reid back on track.
"I have got my confidence back again. Back in the amateur days when I used to turn up to tournaments, I've kind of got that same kind of feel about myself," Reid said. "I feel like I can win now. I'm hoping it's going to be another good week."
Last year, Reid aced the fourth hole at Golfpark Gut Häusern in the first round and she feels that someone will be lucky and win the R8 Spider this week.
