Tiger gambled in Augusta in April. And after punters came out in force to back a return for the world number one, William Hill slashed the price of Tiger's playing in the US Masters at Augusta.

Tiger now is  taking an "indefinite" break from golf to try and repair the damage he's caused to his private life and rumours about his comeback date vary. Of course, his Nike golf clubs are idle.Some sources predict a return to the game in March while others even suggest he will take the whole year off.

According to the US media, the scandal-hit Woods is getting treatment for sex addiction in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and some reports say that his wife Elin has visited him at the clinic and even told friends that the marriage can be saved. However, it was true that Elin bought a new estate at her hometown Sweden.

And it seems UK punters have picked up on this speculation and believe Woods is now a hot favorite to tee it up in the year's opening major at Augusta.

Said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams: "It looks like Tiger and Elin are trying to patch things up and our customers think that it will pave the way for a return to tournament golf."

Despite his current absence, Tiger is the 5/2 favorite to win in Augusta, with long-term rival Phil Mickelson offered at 11/2.
