The Amazing Golf Ball

A golfer, playing a round by himself, is about to tee off, and a greasy little salesman runs up to him, and yells, “Wait! Before you tee off, I have something really amazing to show you! Useful golf equipment !”

The golfer, annoyed, says, “What is it?”

“It’s a special golf ball,” says the salesman. “You can never lose it!”

“Whattaya mean,” scoffs the golfer, “you can never lose it? What if you hit it into the water?”

“No problem,” says the salesman. “It floats, and it detects where the shore is, and spins towards it.”

“Well, what if you hit it into the woods?”

“Easy,” says the salesman. “It emits a beeping sound, and you can find it with your eyes closed.”

“Okay,” says the golfer, impressed. “But what if your round goes late and it gets dark?”

“No problem, sir, this golf ball glows in the dark! I’m telling you, you can never lose this golf ball!”

The golfer buys it at once. “Just one question,” he says to the salesman. “Where did you get it?”

“I found it.”

Golf Lesson distinguished by gender

A husband and wife love to golf together, but neither of them is playing as well as they want to, so they decide to take private lessons. The husband has his lesson first. After the pro sees his swing, he says, “No, no, no, You are gripping the cheap golf clubs way too hard!”

“Well, what should I do?” Asks the man.

“Hold the club gently,” the pro replies, “just like you’d hold your wife’s breast.”

The man takes the advice, takes a swing, and POW! He hits the ball 250 yards straight down the fairway. The next day the wife goes for her lesson. After the pro watches her swing, he says, “No, no, no, You’re gripping the club way too hard.”

“What can I do?” asks the wife.

“Hold the club gently, just like you’d hold your husband’s penis.”

The wife listens carefully to the pro’s advice, takes a swing, and THUMP. The ball goes straight down the fairway, about 35 feet.

“That was great,” the pro says, “Nice and gentle. Now take the club out of your mouth and swing it like you’re supposed to.”

There was an interesting thing, but not the first time. European number one Lee Westwood has called for compulsory checks to be introduced following the changes to the rules regarding grooves on golf clubs.

The new requirements came into force for professionals for the first time in Abu Dhabi last week, and outlaw “boxed” grooves in favour of a more “v” shape in an attempt to reduce the amount of spin.

As a matter of fact, The changes played a part in Westwood missing the cut on his first appearance of the season after being left in the dark over the legality of a new set of irons with testing only optional.

After missing the cut in Abu Dhabi, Westwood has since had the new discount golf clubs tested. And after they were found to be legal the world number four used them for the first time competitively during today’s first round at the Commercialbank Qatar Masters.

He carded a four under par 68 to sit just a shot adrift of leaders Oliver Wilson and Bradley Dredge.

Westwood believes once the decision was made to change the rules officials should have pre-empted any confusion by enforcing a time limit for players to have their clubs checked after the start of the new season to ensure a level playing field. He said, “I just don’t see the point in bringing that rule in, why leave it up to the individual?”

At present more and more kids are playing golf. In some cases kids are starting as young as five years old. With this increase in the number of kids that play golf , a greater demand has come for golf supplies for this group. This includes kid’s golf caps as well as apparel, discount golf clubs and all types of golfing supplies.

Size is an issue for this group. It is pretty hard to find kids golf caps that don’t look huge on the kids head unless you go to a place that specialized in smaller sizes. You can find these in a few different places but any store that carries kids clothes will probably have at least some selection of what you would then consider for a golf gap. You will need to be aware of the kids head and if you don’t know it either measure it or bring your child with you.

The great thing about kid’s clothes is that they are so very cute. Same is true for kids golf caps. They are some of the cutest caps that you can get your hands on. In most cases the typical cap for younger ages will be the ball cap but for small girls there is often a selection of visor caps as well. The selection and variety for this age group will not be as vast as the other age groups so in this case you might have to settle a little. If you continue to look you will find the cap you are looking for but perhaps not the color schemes that you were hoping for.

For junior golf caps there are a lot of blues, reds, whites and tans that are easy to get your hands on. In addition there are many golf equipment brands that put out these caps and have their logo on them which will make your kid look just a little more in the golfing mode. Also kids golf caps can sometimes have more pinstripes and other designs than you would see on other size caps, again this is along the lines of being a cute style for the age group.

Outside of size, color and style there is not much else to consider when buying kids golf caps. It is important to get the right size, and actually this is probably the single biggest issue for you to consider for this age group. So shop around, make sure you know the size of the cap before you even bother to do anything else. You will be able to find what you are looking for if you go to the right stops both around town and online.

Do you like play golf? Do you want to be an outstanding golfer like Tiger Woods? And whether you are looking to become a golf master. Perhaps you have been at the receiving end of one-too-many golfing jokes. You may hope to impress your boss at the next company outing. Unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars in golfing lessons, you are out of luck, right? Wrong! There are a few things you need to focus on to become the golf pro you have always wanted to be. Everything from developing a positive attitude to using the proper discount golf clubs and stances are imperative to educate yourself on if you hope to see improvement in your golfing.

You might be surprised to learn that simply obtaining a positive attitude can be a contributor in transforming a flop stroke into one that could earn you a par on that particular hole. Confidence and a strong mental attitude are reflected in the way the body of a golf master responds. Have you ever tried to run a mile when you are depressed? How about when you are excited about life and confident in yourself? The difference is clear, even if you simply imagine the situation. The concept holds true with golfing as well. Confidence is your first key to success.

However, you obviously need more than a positive outlook to become a golf master. If you have been hitting the driving range for countless hours and still fail to see results, there is obviously something inherently wrong with your practicing. If you were trying to learn the piano, you would get nothing accomplished if you failed to learn proper fingering on the keys and how to count out measures. The same holds true for golf. The varying clubs are used for many different situations from hitting the long shots to getting out of the sand. You surely are already aware of this, but sand pits differ from one another, the wind may change on a given day, and you need to learn how to play differently in each situation if you hope to be a golf master.

Along with using the right cheap golf clubs is practicing your swing and your stance. If you master these important elements, you will be able to hit longer drives, get out of the sand and curve the golf ball the way you want it to as you putt the ball into the hole. Now is the time to get started! Keep reading more to learn everything you can about this topic.

Besides some exterior exercises like Yoga, golfers should improve their own physical attribute as well. Arm and shoulder are two important aspects.

Strong arms and shoulders can improve your golf swing. If you are too weak to lift your golf clubs, how could you say you are a golfer? Nomatther you are pro or amateur. Do exercises three days a week to improve strength. Do two sets of 12 to 20 repetitions to improve strength without bulking up.

Lateral Raise
The lateral raise exercise works the middle portion of your shoulder muscle. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and hold a dumbbell in each hand at your sides. Your arms are straight and your palms will be turned inward toward your legs. Raise your arms to shoulder height but do not lift them higher. Bring your arms back to your sides in a controlled motion to finish one rep.

Reverse Fly or Bent Over Lateral Raise
The reverse fly exercise strengthens the rear portion of the shoulder. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and bend over at the waist. Hold a dumbbell in each hand with your elbows slightly bent. Bring your palms together in front of your thighs. Open your arms straight to your sides and pull your shoulders back. Bring your hands back together in the starting position.

Shoulder Flexion
The shoulder flexion exercise will strengthen the front of your shoulder. You can use two dumbbells or a barbell. Hold your arms in front of you straight with your palms facing down. Either have a dumbbell in each hand or hold a barbell with both, shoulder-width apart. Raise your arms straight in front of you to shoulder height, no higher. Bring your arms down straight to your legs to finish the exercise.

Biceps Curls
Biceps curls are a basic exercise to strengthen the front of your arm, working the biceps and forearm muscles. Stand or sit holding a dumbbell in each hand or a barbell with your hands shoulder-width apart and your palms facing up. Bend your elbows and bring your hands toward your shoulders. Straighten your arms to finish the rep.

Triceps Kickbacks
Triceps kickbacks will tone your triceps muscles in the back of your upper arm. Dumbbells are easiest to use for this exercise. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and bend over with your elbows bent and touching the sides of your body. Hold a dumbbell in each hand with your palms facing toward your body. Extend your arms straight behind you. Bend your arms back only to a right angle to finish the rep.

Again, I want to give all of you some advice that how to select a good golf gift. Just think about the golfer and what they would like to receive – you can tell a lot from their personality and tastes. To get you started, here are four of my favorite ideas for golfing gifts.

Golf Gifts That Are Practical
Practical golf gifts suah as discount golf clubs are probably the best option if you don’t know the golfer that well. Of course, if you can find out what brand and type of golf ball the person uses then you could buy them a dozen or a box of the same. You could also upgrade the gift by buying a newer or more expensive version of their golf balls – but you will need to find out the right type of ball – distance, medium spin, medium feel, etc.

Another idea for the best golf gifts is to buy replacement brand name golf club head covers. If the golfer uses Callaway golf clubs, for example, and the head covers are worn and scuffed or just plain or mismatched, then you could buy some Callaway replacement head covers.

Golf Memorabilia Gifts
Maybe you are searching for an unusual golf gift; then you can’t go wrong with golf memorabilia. You will have to make certain that the item is certified and authentic golf memorabilia. Check for a guarantee and that every autographed product comes with a certificate of authenticity (COA). You will surely find that unusual golf gift you were searching for and something that any golfer would be delighted to receive.

A Personalized Golf Gift
You can add a personal or unique touch to your golf gift by buying personalized golf gifts. You may be surprised at all the different types of golf equipment or accessories that can be personalized. But the most popular are personalized golf balls, where you can have up to three lines of your own text imprinted on the golf balls of your choosing.

Still more golf accessories that can be personalized are embroidered golf caps, golf towels, and golf shirts. You can also find personalized golf bags from Callaway and Nike Golf, with two lines of customizable text.

Corporate Golf Gifts
Most business persons that own their company and are also golfers have probably made some business on the golf course. Or, maybe you work for a company that needs to supply corporate golf gifts for clients. In either case, your best option is to order some custom logo golf gifts. Custom logo golf products are a fantastic way to endorse your company. Again, the most popular are custom logo golf balls which can even be ordered with their own custom logo packaging.

During this modern era of golf club technology, the big mystery among golfers is what golf shaft will maximize their efforts. If the average player tries to sift through all the “mumbo jumbo techno shaft lingo” his head just might explode. And determining the right shaft for me can be extremely confusing.

Most shaft companies are now offering over 100 different types of shaft and in turn, most consumers are clueless of what “engine” they need to run their golf clubs.

The first answer needed is what material should the golfer play, steel or graphite? Graphite is generally lighter than steel, therefore, the average player will hit a graphite shaft a little further than a steel shaft. Graphite also has a much greater shock dampening effect, which is very helpful for those players who have nagging injuries that sometimes prevent them from playing. Alternatively, steel shafts are heavier than most graphite shafts so distance may be sacrificed. What is lost in distance though is gained in accuracy. Steel shafts differ from graphite as they do not experience torque or the lateral twisting found in all graphite shafts. Most players would benefit by having steel shafts in their irons, because accuracy has a greater emphasis than distance, where as graphite shafts are very helpful in getting greater distances from today’s oversize titanium drivers.

The second question to answer is shaft flex. A common fitting flaw is the belief that stiffer shafts will be more accurate because the shaft will not torque as much as a more flexible shaft. However, with today’s technology many manufactures make a softer flex shaft without sacrificing torque. Players can determine what flex they need by simply knowing what club they hit from certain yardages.

The third question to answer is determining what kick point would best benefit that player. Most golfers would love to hit the ball a little higher. A lower kick point would achieve a higher ball flight. Alternatively, if the player tends to have a rather steep outside-inside swing, a mid to high kick point shaft would help them keep the ball flight lower.

The final question to answer is, “what length should the cheap golf clubs be?”. Most graphite wood shafts come 45″-46″ and once installed, the overall golf club will be over 47″. So determining the appropriate length for that golfer is critical. With titanium drivers, a lot of folks subscribe to the “as long as you can control it” mentality. However, it is critical that the irons be cut at a length that is suitable to that particular player’s height & distance from their hands to the floor. With today’s technology and vast amount of products to examine, an experienced club fitter can truly solve the shaft mystery.

When does a golf ball maker been used? At each round, players are aiming to get their golf ball within the hole on this leg of the course in the shortest amount of strokes possible. Since all of the players are trying for the same spot, golf balls will naturally begin to cross paths. Because this can drastically alter the outcome of a game, using golf ball markers are an important feature of proper game play.

Once players begin to reach the putting green, balls will come into close contact with one another. Instead of risking having the balls bump into one another and being thrown off course, a marker will hold the place of a ball and prevent anyone’s putt from becoming skewed. It is an essential option to make sure that a fair game is played by all.

Using a golf ball marker is something which any proper golf game will include. Individual markers can insure that every player knows exactly where their standing is, so when their turn comes up again, they won’t make any errors. It’s the best insurance that everyone performs correctly.

Golf ball markers can be found in a number of different designs as the same as cheap golf clubs. One could buy markers which are decorated with favorite teams, colors, or other pieces of memorabilia. You can see a number of different types of golf ball markers and hat clip combinations at pro shops. There are even websites around which allow people to customize their golf markers, having special pieces of equipment which belong solely to them.

You may ever faced this situation many times that following your first putt on the green, your ball rolled into a green-side bunker. Could you declare the ball ‘unplayable,’ and then went back to the last spot where you last hit it to re-play the shot? The answer is ”Yes”!

It’s counterintuitive, because declaring a ball unplayable when, in fact, the ball is eminently playable seems counter to the basic golf principle of “play it as it lies.”

In the scenario described above, the golfer would remove the ball with your golf equipment from the bunker, assess himself a 1-stroke penalty, place the ball at the spot of the original putt and try again. You never, ever see pros doing something like this because pros are unwilling to take the penalty. A golfer who is terrified of sand might, however, think that 1-stroke penalty is worth it to get out of the sand.

Fact is, a golfer can declare any ball unplayable, at any time, for any reason, and anywhere on the course other than in a water hazard. The penalty is one stroke with three options for how to proceed.

In the rulebook, it’s Rule 28, Ball Unplayable, and it’s as straightforward as can be:

“The player may declare his ball unplayable at any place on the course except when the ball is in a water hazard. The player is the sole judge as to whether his ball is unplayable.”

After taking a 1-stroke penalty, the three options for proceeding are to return to the spot of the previous stroke and play again; or drop within a length of two golf clubs, not nearer the hole; or drop behind the spot, going back as far as you want, keeping the original spot between the hole and the spot where the ball is dropped.

If you declare a ball in a bunker unplayable and use the second or third option (taking a drop), you must drop in the bunker. For a little more explanation, read Rule 28. It’s every bit as clear as it sounds, even if that doesn’t sound quite right.

At a time when the premium golf ball market seems more crowded than the 19th hole on a 2-for-1 drinks night, the Penta TP comes along and not only makes a name for itself, but also raises the bar.

Let’s peel back the layers: First – off the driver – distance. Across a section of golfers during testing, distance gains ranged from 3 to 13 yards with the golf clubs depending on the player. That’s significant.

Next, with mid- and long irons the ball is workable – both for mid- and low-handicappers. Should novices leave this ball alone? No way – it’s too much fun for the whole golfin’ family!

Lest we forget about spin – the Penta has plenty of it. Off mid- and short irons is where this ball shines. Shots for low handicappers hit inside 50 yards showed a willingness to sit right where they landed. For the higher handicap (15+), that group saw a shorter roll-out on balls that hit the green compared with other premium balls.

As for putting, I found the Penta seemed to hold the line better than some other brands. Interesting that the ball immediately felt a certain heft, even though it conforms to the mandated weight of a golf ball. As for feel off the putter, it’s soft but not a marshmallow feel.

Does a 5-piece ball work for your game? By all accounts, it looks like that “5″ is a winning number. Give it a try.

Winter is not the end of golf. Although some golf courses have to close up the course for winter, Thorpeness Hotel and Golf Club will not.

Based in Thorpeness in Suffolk, the course was built on sandy soil so has perfect draining during the wetter seasons, making it playable all year round. In fact, the course was only closed for half a day last winter.

cheap golf clubs: TaylorMade R9 Driver

Recently refurbished, the Thorpeness Hotel and Golf Club is set amongst the Suffolk coastal heathland and the golf course offers a tough challenge for all levels of player.

The course is laid with sandy soil and heath land and Thorpeness also has the advantage of a low rainfall, which certainly guarantees a healthy competition of golf can be played. While other golf courses are sometimes forced to close due to bad weather and water logged greens, Thorpeness green keepers work hard to keep the course looking and feeling great to rid you of those golfing winter blues.

Thorpeness is set in a unique and relaxing coastline of Suffolk, its stunning 18 hole golf course, with the 18th Hole framed by ‘The House in the Clouds’ and ‘The Thorpeness Windmill’ is complemented by the peaceful and stylish atmosphere the club house and hotel provides, certainly making this golf course the place to defeat the golfing blues!

Designed by James Braid in 1922, this Suffolk golf course winds through silver birch, pine trees, gorse and heather and was described by the Sunday Telegraph Golfing Guide as “Reminiscent of the inland glories of Sunningdale and Woodhall Spa”.

Golf breaks are available throughout the year and this season sees the introduction of a couple of breaks for both the golfer and non-golfer. Fish & Pheasant weekends starting in January, includes free golf for the weekend, providing golf equipment as well.

Also, some great Winter golf days and green fees, continuing until March from just £19.50 an introduction of a Golf Breaks Sunday Driver which includes overnight accommodation with a full English breakfast, three courses dinner and two round of golf from just £75.

So this winter don’t let the golfing blues get you down, there’s always something happening at the Thorpeness Hotel and Golf Club.

Nike golf clothing now comes in all styles and because of Tiger Woods, Nike has a designed a top line of clothing to meet the exacting standard of the games top player.

Corporate gift golf shirts are at the top of the list for many executives and can be custom embroidered with your company logo. Quality does vary and of course it pays to spend on a quality golf shirt that someone will actually wear and be comfortable in. In contrast, cheap golf shirts lose their shape, colors fade and shrink after the first wash or two. Nike clothing, in contrast, combine refined styling, with the latest technological advancement in clothing comfort. Nike’s Dri-Fit fabric actually traps the sweat away from the body, and transports it to the fabric’s surface where it evaporates and thusly cools the wearer. This truly makes for a first rate golf shirt that “breathes”.

Nike has both golf clubs foe men and women, and Nike clothing also features a women’s line. Ladies will appreciate the luxury and fashionable styling Nike offers. Nike makes the most comfortable women’s golf shirts available. Stay cool when the heat is on. Engineered with Dri-FIT fabric to expertly handle moisture, the comfortable women’s micro pique golf shirt has an exceptionally soft feel. It is tailored for a uniquely feminine tapered fit with its standard and always smart-looking Johnny collar.

It is proved that Nike golf clothing is fashionable enough to go from the country club to the corporate office and still offer the highest level of function. Again, go for quality where form meets function. While we mere mortals can only dream of playing like Tiger Woods, we can at least play at the same level of comfort thanks to Nike Golf Clothing.

Junior golf is now big and so is the business of supplying these golfers. One of the areas that you can find much interest is getting those golfers the correct junior golf caps.

For this group of golfers the cap is a pretty bigger deal and a pretty bigger status symbol than a set of discount golf clubs so the chances are that they will opt for a cap that says a lot about who they are as individuals. You will need to balance these types of junior golf caps with the traditional conservative nature of the sport of golf which includes the conservative dress codes for those that play at these courses.

Of course there are many juniors that will select their own junior golf caps if you let them but you might want to participate in the decision making process or at least let them know the rules around what is and what is not acceptable dress wear for a golf course. After that you can introduce them to the wide variety of cap styles, colors and designs that are out there and then let them pick what they think would work best for them. You can also guide them in the ways of what particular colors seem to go over the best of the course.

golf clubs for sale : taylormade r9 driver

Junior golf caps tend to come in a number of different color schemes, some wilder than others. Also there are designs that will please your teenage kids fashion palate. Try to make sure that you buy what they would like verses what you would like and as long as it is reasonably presentable you might want to just let it be. You want your kid to be comfortable wearing whatever it is that they choose and shouldn’t really stress the color or style of the cap. Be glad that they want to play and play with you as well. Make sure your kid knows the different types of caps there are to choose from.

There are many places that you can go to get your kids junior golf caps from. You will want to get more than one cap since variety is always appreciated. Also you are going to want to get colors that will match the majority of what your kid might war of the course since kids are especially concerned about looking good in public. When you are sure you know what you want go ahead and do some comparison shopping for the perfect cap you desire. Go online to see what’s out there, go to local stores who sell cheap golf clubs as well and check out their selection and then make up your mind and go buy them.

A nutrient diet to golfer is as important as golf clubs to them. For golfers, a balanced diet begins with eating at least 50% of your total caloric intake from carbohydrates such as whole grains, breads, pastas, rice, fruits, vegetables, and low-fat dairy. Carbohydrates are the body’s preferred energy source during activity. It fuels the brain and nervous system, preserves protein while helping to burn fat. Consuming carbohydrates during activity helps maintain blood glucose levels, allowing the golfer to have improved concentration.

Protein is another important macronutrient to incorporate into the balanced diet. Have 6 to 8 ounces of protein daily, and choose lean protein sources such as chicken, fish, round or loin cuts of beef, beans or legumes. Protein is needed for growth and repair of muscles, and helps regulate body processes as enzymes and hormones.

Fat is the final macronutrient in the balanced diet. Fat, like carbohydrate, provides fuel for working muscles, but it is a more concentrated fuel source. Recommended fat intake is the same for athletes as for all healthy people – no more than 30% of your total calories coming from fat. This is approximately 4-5 servings of fat (based on 2000 calories). One serving of fat equals 1 teaspoon of oil or margarine, 6 nuts, or 2 teaspoons of peanut butter.

Fill up on fluids

Hydration is an imperative component in the successful golfers game. Consuming adequate fluids before, during and after playing golf is beneficial. Even a slight decrease in bodyweight due to dehydration can affect your performance and result in fatigue & mental dullness. Consume approximately 8 oz of fluid before tee time. While golfing consume 4-8 oz of fluid every15-20 minutes or at every hole. If celebrating with alcoholic beverages is planned at the 19th hole, alternate fluid (nonalcoholic) with alcoholic drinks. Alcohol acts as a diuretic and actually increases fluid loss, so it is not a good choice for the replacement of fluids lost during the round of golf.

Golf gifts are very necessary, especially in business golf. Today, I’d like to talk some golf gifts ideas for women. You know women love gifts, but not all the gifts are good. So in order to show your good faith, choose your gifts carefully, a set of discount golf clubs are too common, try something new.

Women can never have too many clothes, right? Especially when it comes to golfing. Cute skirts and shorts are always needed, and it is easy to get sick of the same shirt, so clothing is always a good gift idea, as long as you know her size. Matching outfits are key, so look into a few shirt-skort-jacket combinations to make her feel fresh and confident on the course.

Personalized golf balls. You can choose bright colors, or simply add inspirational, clever, or funny quotes to a dozen golf balls for your friend to use on the course. A funny option is to get a picture of someone humorous, such as her boss, screened onto a few balls to add a little oomph to her hit.

Luxury golf gloves. There are some really amazing golf gloves out there to help your grip, and avoid blisters, but most people don’t splurge on the super-soft and comfortable ones just for themselves. Look into gloves for fashion and functionality as a great gift idea. Gloves made of a soft leather material with simple designs are popular this season, and really good gloves feel as if they’re already broken in. I bet she will like such kind of golf equipment.

If you are ever at a loss, or none of these gifts feel appropriate, you can always look into golf gift baskets, gift certificates to golf stores, or research some new courses that she might like and offer to go with her, or even take her there for a weekend.

Leopard Creek has a long history since Johann Rupert turned into reality. And its origin is very interesting.

The South African billionaire businessman had always loved golf and the African bushveld and when he discovered the ideal location where he could combine his two great passions, he called in South Africa’s foremost course designer, Gary Player, to help him develop, as the estate’s centre piece, an 18-hole golf course that today is seen as being among the best in the world and is currently ranked above the Gary Player Country Club as the No 1 in South Africa.

The duo set out to build a course which friends and business associates could play and enjoy every bit as much as the game’s greatest modern professionals such as Ernie Els and Retief Goosen.

And to all intents and purposes, they succeeded, for Leopard Creek has received nothing but praise since it opened its doors in 1996 as ‘an exclusive club for like minded individuals sharing common values, membership being by invitation only’ – the words are from the club’s official website.

Innovative architectural and landscaping have ensured that the estate’s golf course and its lodges blend in harmoniously with the environment while the area’s natural lakes and small streams have been diverted through the development to enhance its scenic appeal and create interesting golf features (discount golf clubs meanwhile).

Remodeling of the course took place with the dawn of the 21st century, with the bulk of the changes coming on the greens which were converted to bent grass and where sub-air systems were installed.

With much of the course bordering on the world famous Kruger National Park, golfing hazards at Leopard Creek can be quite a bit more hazardous than on other courses for much of its waters are home to hippos and the creature for which the adjacent river is called – the crocodile.

Situated near Malelane in the heart of Mpumalanga, Leopard Creek features typical bushveld koppies that overlook the course from the east, providing an ideal backdrop for a magnificent lay-out with a near perfect temperate climate that offers year-round comfort, convenience and, of course, cheap golf clubs, ping g15 driver for instance.

If you like playing golf, why not find a golf job on the course? Despite this, you need to know some interview tips in this field.

First, well prepared for your interview. Know what you are going to say for those commonly asked interview questions and questions relevant to the position. Make sure you research the golf equipment you are interviewing at as well as competitors in the neighborhood. Know the other professionals working there and what they have accomplished.

When you come to the interview, dress clean and neat. The golf industry has an emphasis on appearance. Official PGA attire is khaki pants, blue button-down shirt and a navy sport coat. Stay in the blue color scheme for the tie. Wear a brown belt and shoes. For women, wear regular business attire. You should also be clean-shaven and properly groomed.

golf clubs for sale : TaylorMade R9 Driver

A key thing to bring with you is a portfolio detailing your previous experience. Pictures of displays you created, a sample of the member newsletter you produced, calligraphy examples, budgets, promotional pieces and so forth. Even if you think it’s irrelevant, it may be something new to the employer. The more you have, the more diverse you will be to the employer. If hired, this could expand your responsibilities.

In most fields, job longevity is very important trait that companies seek in new employees. For the golf business, though, it is just as important to have worked in a few places in a short amount of time. This sounds wrong, but in the golf business there are many different types of facilities beyond golf clubs and they all operate differently. Private courses are different from public courses. Knowing how to run a resort and a semiprivate facility looks good on a resume.

Extra Knowledge
There is another possibility that you are asked some questions that pertain to the facility, but you might not think they pertain to the job. Some of those questions will be about food and beverage experience. If it is a small operation, you may be asked to handle the restaurant as well. Having basic working knowledge of this should be good enough. You may also be asked about the grounds. If it is a frosty morning and the head greens superintendent isn’t around, you should know when it is safe to let the golfers out so they don’t kill the grass. These questions aren’t a given, but some like them may be asked.

Good luck, man!

Nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards, so is golf. Following are some of the basic golf rules and regulations to get you started towards having a fun time on the course.

• Never interfere with the golf ball’s movement while it is in play. You must always play the ball as it lies. The only exception to this rule is if you are taking a stroke penalty to move the ball from an unplayable lie.

• If you are hitting from the putting surface, and you strike the flagstick while it is in the hole, you will be penalized a stroke.

• If you think you have lost your ball or hit it out of bounds, play a provisional ball from the same place.

• On the tee box, you must tee up your ball between the two tee markers. You may play the ball up to two club lengths behind the tee markers, but never in front of them.

• If you are near the flagstick while another player is putting, it is your duty to tend the hole, or pull the flagstick from the hole before the player putts or before their ball reaches the hole.

• On the putting green, whichever player is farthest from the hole has the option of putting first.

• When playing out of a sand bunker, the face of your cheap golf clubs must not make contact with the ground until you are taking your stroke.

• You cannot press down on the ground to improve the line of your putt, but you may remove loose impediments from your putting line.

• Remain quiet and keep still when other players are hitting, putting, or in the midst of their shot routine.

• Many golf courses will have their own local rules or regulations in effect. Check with the club house before setting out on your round to see if there are any local rules you will need to abide by.

If you are looking to improve your golf swing power, you must focus on increasing the strength and flexibility of your golf muscles. Please, it’s golf muscle. In fact, this is one of the quickest ways to not only improve your driving distance, but eliminate pain and injury from your golf game.

The muscles you should focus on for power are the rear shoulder muscles, especially of the lead shoulder; your core muscles; and lower back ones. These are the key areas that will add power and eliminate pain. Playing pain-free golf is only a dream for many golfers, but if you do the right golf-specific training exercises, you can and will play pain-free golf.

Another muscle group to focus on is the hamstrings. They are responsible for helping you stay in your golf posture, and keeping straing off your lower back. Tight and weak hamstrings are a combination for long-term back pain and inconsistent golf.

Golf is physical. Did you know that over 80% of all golfers play with some form of back pain? The golf swing is brutal on your body if you’re in poor physical condition. Strengthening and stretching your muscles can actually cure low back pain in golf. Just imagine swinging a 3 foot long implement (discount golf clubs) at over 100 mph. Do you think there might be some stress and trauma on the body? You better believe it!

Prepare your body, and you can expect great results. Ignore your body and you will play in pain for years to come.

Golf exercises help golfers build the muscles involved with golf swing, and also improve your general fitness level. In a word, proper exercises benefit you a lot. Here are some of them.

Walking
Walking is great for your heart as well as your muscles. Skip the golf cart and walk the entire eighteen holes, carrying your own bag, to develop both your cardiovascular system and your major muscle groups.

Stretching
Stretching is often overlooked by golfers, but it shouldn’t be. Stretching beforehand warms your muscles up, meaning you’ll be able to play at an optimum level earlier. Have you ever noticed that your game improves as the day goes on? Any golf trainer would tell you to speed this up with some simple golf exercises like arm stretching. Don’t neglect your legs; all the walking you’ll be doing may cause your legs to tighten if they’re not properly stretched.

Standing Twist With Golf Club
The Standing Twist will help you develop your core. A strong core means you’ll be able to put more power into your swing. To do the Standing Twist, keep your feet hip-width apart and hold the cheap golf clubs chest-high. Rotate the club back and forth slowly, concentrating on your core. This is one of the best golf exercises you can do.

Backswing With Club or Weights
This is an exercise you can do on the course with your discount golf clubs, or at home with weights. To do this on the course, simply perform your backswing slowly, tightening your core and concentrating on the way your muscles move. The slower movement of a function you typically do will make your muscles work harder, strengthening them.

Lunges
Lunges are a popular (though often hated) exercise which develop strong leg muscles. To do a lunge, start with your feet hip-width apart. Take a step forward with one leg, bending at the knee. Your other knee should just about touch the ground. Hold for one second before coming back up.

You can do these golf exercises at home, slowly perform your backswing while holding a weight. The idea behind this is the same; you’re working the muscles you typically use when performing your backswing.

Women golf has become an important part of golf. But when and how did it form? Today, I’ll solve this problem.

Early in the 1550s, Mary Queen of Scots commissioned the building of the golf course at St. Andrews. An avid fan of the game, she is also credited with coining the term “caddies”. In France, where she grew up, military cadets carried golf clubs and assisted on the course. Historians believe Mary brought this tradition with her to Scotland where it was embraced by local golfers.

Following Mary’s reign, women’s golf entered a fallow period. There are very few records of women in golf for hundreds of years until the 1800s.

The first known women’s golf tournament was held in 1811, at the Musselburgh Golf Club in Scotland. In 1867, St. Andrews again becomes a haven for women golfers, creating The Ladies Club—the first women’s golf organization.

In the late 1800s, Issette Pearson Miller assisted in the creation of one of the first golf handicapping systems in London, England.

In 1894, the first women’s tournament is held in the US, hosted by the Morris County Golf Club in Morristown New Jersey. The course had only seven holes.

The United States Golf Association, founded in 1894, held the first US women’s amateur championship in 1895.

The Modern Era
Although women’s golf gained in momentum in the early part of the 20th century—most notably, Babe Didrickson-Zaharias’ popularity in the 1930s—it wasn’t until after World War II that women’s golf really took off.

In 1950, the Ladies Professional Golf Association was formed. Babe Didrickson-Zaharias, Patty Berg and Louise Suggs were some of the most popular golfers in the early years of the LPGA.

In 1978, Nancy Lopez captured women’s attention, becoming the first female golfer to earn both rookie of the year and player of the year honors in the same season.

In 1996, Karrie Webb became the first LPGA golfer to earn one million dollars in a single season.

Ironically, the club at St. Andrews came full circle in 2007, hosting its first women’s professional tournament, the Women’s British Open.

Chip shot is a shot typically played from very close to the green, usually within a few yards of the putting surface, in which the ball is struck using a club (usually 6-iron to PW) played back in the player’s stance. Such a combination produces a shot that is in the air very briefly before settling to the putting surface and rolling toward the cup.

How To Hit A Chip Shot And Save Stokes
Shaping your chip. During the chip shot, the ball should spend as little time in the air as possible and most of its time rolling on the green. Pick a landing spot on the green and then read the rest of the shot as you would a putt. Chipping to your chosen spot should result in a putt-like roll to the hole.

Club choice. Like most short game shots, the chip is a matter of feel. Practice will give you an idea of what golf clubs is most effective, taylormade r9 driver or ping g15 driver? In general, the more green between your ball and the hole, the less lofted your club should be.

The set up. To position yourself for a chip shot, narrow your stance slightly and use a more open setup with your feet point 15 or 20-degrees left of perpendicular to the line of the shot. The ball should line up on the inside of your left heel or slightly more centered. Take your normal grip, but choke down on the cheap golf clubs by an inch or two.

The swing. During a chip, your back swing should be much shorter than normal—rarely will the back swing on a chip go even waist high. Now, accelerate through the ball as normal with a smooth, sweeping stroke. A well-struck chip will jump from the club head, land on the green and roll toward the cup at the speed of a putt made from the same distance.

You may a good golfer, and I firmly believe that you are quite familiar with the course design. But to some newbie golfers, do they really know something about golf course design?

Golf course design has a huge impact on your game,it’s as important as golf equipment to your game. Unlike most sports, in which fields of play are sharply regulated, golf has very few hard and fast rules regarding the course itself. While a championship course must have 18 holes, those holes may come in any shape, difficulty or order.

Rating A Golf Course
The course rating measures the difficulty of a course for a scratch golfer (defined as a golfer whose average score matches par) playing under normal conditions. The rating takes into account the length and difficulty of obstacles found on the course. A higher rating indicates a more difficult course.

The slope rating measures the relative difficulty of a course for a bogey golfer (defined as a golfer whose averages one more stroke than par per hole) and a scratch golfer. Slope ratings are computed using a specific formula and range from 55 to 155. A high slope rating means a course may be more difficult for bogey golfers.

Other Factors in Golf Course Design
Topography — Rolling, hilly courses can provide awkward stances and can create challenges when estimating distances. Also, the level of physical effort is greater if the terrain of a course features moderate to severe slopes.
Fairway Width — The width of fairways can vary greatly from course to course. If accuracy off the tee is a challenge for you, consider courses that feature wide fairways or mild of fairway hazards.
Water — A course that brings water into play on many of its holes can be physiologically challenging. If you find yourself freezing up when faced with a water crossing, you may do better to look for a “drier” course.
Greenside Hazards — The average golfer loses most of his strokes around the green. If you have trouble with your short or sand games, you may want to look for a course that features a more open style around the greens.

I’m wondering whether it is very hard for newbie golfers when they start to play golf, especially women golfers. But to me, it’s really hard. Now, beginner golf instruction lady clinics can help teach the basics in a relaxed atmosphere amongst other beginner ladies.

Ladies Clinics

Clinics are usually run at most golf courses and golf schools by the local golf professional and consist of 5 or more ladies. These clinics are great for learning not only the basics of setup etc but also teach you putting, pitching and so on.

You will also learn about the discount golf clubs, what they are designed for, how much distance you should get and in what circumstances to use them. Golf clinics also teach you about the rules of golf and you should invest in a book of the rules for yourself as you will find it invaluable.

Clinics provide you with the chance to meet other ladies with whom you may team up and play golf with on a regular basis. Ladies golf clinics can be used as a refresher at any time even as you handicap drops.

Mechanics Of The Swing

It is important that beginners learn the basics of setup, stance the swing and follow through in order to form good habits right from the beginning. Once a habit is formed it takes some changing and depending on what sport the lady has played before may determine how much time it will take to learn the basic skill of actually connecting with the ball.

Following a swing right through even after you connect with the ball gives extra lift and distance. Balance is another factor to be controlled. All of this and more before you even walk onto a course.

Are you a golf newbie? Are you worrying about finding the perfect golf clubs of your own? Well, just like in anything else, you have to get the feel of things before you find the best set you can use. As you can see, using just anything may affect your chances in excelling in golf. Regardless of the fact that it is a game that needs much practice, you should find ways to help yourself get better.

Usually, your best option is to buy second hand ones or cheap golf clubs. Investing good money on a new set which will not work for you is not worth it. Get the used one and do some practice swings. Here, you will see if the club is too heavy or too light. Soon, you will understand what you will need to make the perfect swing. When this happens, you can get your own set of clubs.

If you have already decided on purchasing clubs of your own, you should always remember one thing: you should think of how many times you plan to play. Although it may seem fun to order the best golf clubs which the best brand and an expensive price, you might not be able to use it regularly. This in turn seems to be a waste of money. Do not deprive yourself of quality, either. When buying a set, test it out with a few practice swings. A club should coincide with your height, arm length and grip. Good golf equipment can help you improve your golf skills, especially when you put your heart and soul to training. When you feel that you have greatly improved, congratulations! It means that you have the right set.

Meanwhile, you can get pre-owned golf clubs at any store. You can even order it online to get discounts on them. All in all, if you are really interested in engaging in the game, you should remember to try out different types of clubs first!

I hope all the newbie golfers can improve their skills greatly.

Golf ball manufacturers generally break their products into two distinct groups – the two piece balls and the multi layer balls. But to different types, brands and sizes, you have so many choices. Each golf ball manufacturer makes a number of different types of balls all designed with different playing styles, different types of players and different price brackets. So as a consumer how do you go about selecting the best golf balls for your needs? First, look at the two types of golf balls.

The two piece golf ball is the traditional distance ball. This means that it is designed to travel. The two piece ball consists of the core and a cover and as a result of this design, the two piece balls travel the maximum distance no matter what the swing speed is. As a player, you will generally hear an audible click when you make contact with this ball when you hit it with your golf equipment. Because these balls get less sidespin they tend to fly straighter even if they are hit of the heel or toe. Two piece balls are generally cheaper than the multi layer balls.

The multi layer ball on the other hand is either a three piece or four piece ball and is made up of a core, a mantle, and then a cover. These are generally more expensive balls. They usually feel softer to hit and have a higher spin rate because of this softness. In the higher spinning balls, the mantle helps to transfer the energy to the core whereas in a lower spinning ball the mantle will help to reduce the spin off a player who chooses to use a driver or a longer club.

So how do you work out which ball will best suit and even improve your game? Firstly you need to determine what type of player you are or want to become. Players that are mostly concerned with getting more distance off the tee are better off opting for the two piece ball. Where as players who want more control in the ball should opt for the multi layer ball. The best way to decide between the two is to head to the gold range and hit a few buckets to get a feel for both types.

Generally speaking, there are two kinds of shaft flex, one is stiff and another one is regular. However, shaft flex impacts, either directly or indirectly, the accuracy, trajectory and distance of your shot. Three pretty important things, eh?

As the shaft flexes throughout the swing, the position of the clubhead changes. And the face of the golf clubs must be square (perfectly straight) at impact to get the most out of the shot. If you have the wrong flex for your swing, there is less chance that you’ll make contact with the ball with a square clubface.

You can choose to buy stiffer shafts, or softer shafts, depending on your needs. But how can you tell what you need? Here are some general guidelines:

• Take a look at the distance you hit your driver, maybe Callaway FT-iQ Driver. This is a good, but very general, indicator. If you carry you driver 250 yards or more, go with Stiff; 230-250 yards, Regular; 200-230 yards, Senior; less than 200 yards, Ladies. Only the biggest of the big hitters is going to need Extra Stiff. For most of us, Extra Stiff isn’t even in the picture.• If you have a very smooth swing, you might benefit from a softer flex even if you swing fast. A swing that gets jerky at the top – when transitioning into the downswing – will probably need a stiffer shaft.

• If your drives go left, you might benefit from a stiffer flex; if your drives go right, you might benefit from a softer flex.

The Foolproof Way to Choose Flex:

A clubfitting with a golf professional is the recommended way to choose the proper flex. The pro will take a lot of measurements, watch your swing, measure your swing speed, watch your ball flight and be able to recommend the flex that is right for you. Clubfittings are available at many pro shops and almost all golf schools and from teaching professionals.

If a club-fitting isn’t in your future, the next best thing is a demo day. At demo days, you’ll be able to hit many different types of cheap golf clubs with different types of shafts. The key, short of a club fitting, is hitting lots of different discount golf clubs and watching the effect that changing shaft flex has on your shots. If you find a flex that feels good and produces a good ball flight, there’s a good chance that’s the right flex for you.
